CHIP - Community Health Improvement Partnership Charlotte County

What is CHIP?

The Community Health Improvement Partnership (CHIP) is an example of the community and organizations coming together to create positive change.  CHIP philosophy defines “Health” as the wellness of mental, social, and environmental health of a community, not just the absence of disease. CHIP integrates prevention, wellness and intervention strategies into community-driven health improvement efforts.

Community Health Action Teams (CHAT) Community groups called CHAT’s act as the “voice” of the community and work closely with state and local government on planning issues and policies that effect the health of a community. After hearing from health experts and reviewing local data, the CHAT’s prioritize the most significant health problems affecting their communities then develop strategies to create positive changes. CHAT is currently active in Englewood.

The meetings are held at:

First United Methodist Church
