Office of Healthy Lifestyles
Choose Abstinence Program
We teach Charlotte County Middle
school children, skills that will help them make good
choices about their health.
In our society there are many
magazines, movies, songs, and internet sites that promote
promiscuity, but never address the consequences of a person’s actions.
In this curriculum we focus on the importance of choosing
abstinence by encouraging students to postpone sexual activity until
they are married, and more prepared to handle the outcome of their
actions. By choosing abstinence, students can live
a drug free, alcohol free, and guilt free life.
We do role plays, open discussions,
and allow students to anonymously submit questions that
they may have.
